This 2008 Saturn Sky Red Line Convertible offers that kind of fun-loving, open-air experience. The Sky Red Line model features the optional turbocharged inline-four engine that helps propel the vehicle from 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds, according to Saturn. This two-owner car was garage-kept and covered when not in use, has never seen snow or road salt, and has been driven around Tucson, Arizona, since 2019.
EXTERIOR This Polar White Saturn Sky has a black convertible soft top that is in “excellent shape,” the top opens and closes as expected and has “no air or water leaks.” The exterior paint is “mostly original” with a repainted hood and rear bumper panel. The seller notes there are small road chips on the front edge of the hood and on the A pillar on the passenger side. There is a small scratch on the rear bumper, just above the tailpipe. The windshield glass was replaced in December 2022, but otherwise, all glass is original and reportedly in good condition. The rubberized seals have been maintained with Sil-Glyde lubricating compound. The vehicle has “no rust,” he adds.
INTERIOR This Red Line model lives up to its name with red leather seating surfaces accented in black leather and “SKY” logos on both seats. The leather has been treated with a conditioner, helping the seats remain in good condition with no cracks or other issues. The leather-wrapped and stitched steering wheel also follows the two-tone red-and-black color theme. The carpeted flooring is in good condition with no worn areas, and includes both carpeted and all-weather floormats. All switches, gauges, lighting, and the factory stereo with CD player reportedly operate as expected. The interior maintenance products used for upkeep of the leather, carpet and upholstery will be included in the sale. Also, three Saturn-specific canvas carrying bags that fit into the rear storage space will be included.
CHASSIS This rear-wheel-drive Saturn Sky retains its original sport-tuned suspension, featuring factory-installed Bilstein shocks. The shocks, struts, and bushings are in “excellent condition,” The only modifications are a front 3/8-inch diameter DDM brace bar and rear DDM Venom brace bar, each attached to the frame rails and designed to improve rigidity and handling. The antilock brake system is original and in “excellent” condition. The 18-inch, five-spoke polished alloy wheels are matched to 18-inch Continental Extreme Contact tires with a 2021 DOT date code. The tires were replaced at 24,044 miles, meaning they now have about 2,200 miles on them. The vehicle also received a four-wheel alignment and steering wheel centering at the same time the tires were replaced. There are no fluid leaks.
